We share them on our social posts, reels, lives &#8211; and more. If we are purchasing, stocking, and then shipping those products one set of rules applies. If we are promoting those same products but directing shoppers to the product supplier&#8217;s website in exchange for a commission, a discount, or any other type of benefit &#8211; we are &#8220;influencers&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There can be some real benefits<\/strong> to being an influencer and promoting the products made, sold, and shipped by another business. Your business relationship with another company and its products could be a great fit for you and your customers. It does mean, that your activities are governed by a specific set of &#8220;Disclosure&#8221; rules that you will need to follow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From the FTC.gov guide (click on the link below to get your copy of the FTC Guide):<\/strong> <em>As an influencer, it\u2019s your responsibility to make these disclosures, to be familiar with the Endorsement Guides, and to comply with laws against deceptive ads.
